Former Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Kudirat Adeleke
Justice Eni Esan of the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, western Nigeria has ordered the forfeiture of the property of all the nine alleged pension fraudsters who are standing trial before it pending the hearing and final determination of their case.
The accused were charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission with theft of N5.6b pension fund belonging to many retired primary school teachers in the state.
The accused persons are: Muili Aderemi, Iyabo Giwa, Oguntayo Banji N, Adebiyi Musendiq Olasumbo, Adeleke Kudirat Iyabo, Adeduntan Johnson, Kareem Rasheed and two companies -Fimhab Nigeria Limited and Dumath Investment and Services Nigeria Ltd.
According to the court, “an order is hereby made granting interim attachment/forfeiture of the property listed in this application to the Federal Government pending the hearing and final determination of charge No 1/6EFCC/2013-FG vs Muili Hakeem Aderemi and others”.
“An order is also made granting attachment/forfeiture of the property of the persons listed in schedules 1-9 of this application pending conclusion of investigation into other acts of fraud and criminal allegations being carried out against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.”
Some of the property of the accused persons as listed are two fully detached duplex at Ogo-Oluwa Estate, Ibadan, farmland with poultry and husbandry pen, three tipper lorries, four cars, one SUV, three pick up vans belonging to Fimhab Nigeria Ltd, plot of land measuring 900 square metres, plot of land measuring 795 square metres and several other valuable property
