 The way Nigerians live with the persist electricity failure
According to recent reports, the two major reasons the recently privatized 14 successor companies of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) have not been pulling their weight since taking over the utility’s assets two months ago are the rising cost of gas needed to power the thermal plants and the unresolved labour issues inherited by the firms.
This means the Nigeria people will continue to live without electricity and also do their business with alternative sources of power for a long time to come. But as shown in the photo documentary below, Nigerians not only have to worry about providing their own sources of power, they must also devise various ingenious means of securing them!
