Anambra : Candidates in mop up campaigns

Candidates for the November 16, 2013 election have entered the last stage of their campaigns with most of them visiting those considered as major stakeholders in the state to woo them to their side.
Many prominent Anambrarians were in the state weekend and some candidates were sighted visiting them to solicit their support.
Surprisingly, some of the stakeholders who were known to be sympathizers of certain political parties in the past appear to be abandoning their former political parties for new candidates.
It was also gathered that some of the stakeholders are planning to host their colleagues for the purpose of deciding who to support on Saturday, putting so many things into consideration.
A chieftain of one of the political parties, who is from Anambra South senatorial zone told Vanguard yesterday that his party has made a big catch of a major stakeholder in the state who, before now, was a major financier of one of the major political parties in the state, but has decided to pitch his tent with his party for the purpose of the governorship election.
He said that the said stakeholder has promised to assemble some of his friends to educate them on the need to vote his preferred candidate on Saturday, adding that it did not mean that the said stakeholder has joined his party.
