PHOTONEWS: Shuttle Bus Catches Fire in Sabo, Lagos

An official bus belonging to a students' hostel close to the Sabo bus stop in Lagos today caught fire on the streets near the hostel.

With only the driver on board, there was no casualty from the fire. The driver said he was moving slowly with the traffic pace when the
vehicle engines suddenly switched off followed by smokes from the battery compartment.

He said the bus  exploded before he could reach the extinguisher he carried with him. Policemen at the scene stood and took photos with their mobile phones as the fire raged on.
Firemen arrived within thirty minutes after the bus had been completely burnt down.
