Boko Haram Crackdown: Yobe Too Declares Dusk -To-Dawn Curfew

In continuation of the military crackdown against the Boko Haram sect, the Yobe State government this afternoon declared a dusk-to-dawn curfew in observance of military operations following President Goodluck Jonathan's declaration of a State of Emergency in three states.
In a statement issued on behalf of Governor Ibrahim Gaidam by his Special Adviser on Media, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, the government said that the curfew would commence from 6pm to 6am daily throughout the state.
The statement which did not specify the length of the curfew urged citizens of the state to comply and cooperate with all military personnel towards successful resolution of the Boko Haram insurgency.
