PDP Delegation Forces Ailing Governor Suntai To A Meeting With Taraba Acting Governor And Speaker

Gov. Danbaba Suntai

A delegation  of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the presidency led by Senator Hope Uzodinma has arrived Taraba state capital, Jalingo around 11 am Nigerian time on a fact-finding mission with the aim of resolving the political logjam in the state.
It was learnt that the delegation upon arrival summoned the speaker of the Taraba state house of assembly, Haruna Tsokwa and the Acting Governor, Umar Garba to a meeting with ailing governor, Danbaba Suntai at the governor's lodge. It will be the acting governor's first meeting with Suntai since arriving the state two weeks ago, smuggled in by a cabal in the state working to prevent the acting governor from taking over power due to Mr. Suntai's ill health.
Mr. Suntai main loyalist, Senator Emmanuel Bwatcha and his wife, Hauwa were also in attendance.
Senator Uzodinma last August traveled from Nigeria to see Suntai at a rehabilitation center on Staten Island in New York.
The meeting with Suntai and his loyalists was still in progress as at the time of publishing this report.
Journalist across Nigeria who massed  at the governors lodge  hoping to catch a glimpse of Mr. Suntai were barred from covering the meeting.
