NMA President demands mental fitness test for Nigeria’s leaders

Eight people have been reported dead in a Wednesday night boat accident that occurred between Eko bridge and Ikorodu waterways in Lagos.
Twelve passengers have been rescued while six are still missing.
The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, said that Bell Marine Services owns the ill fated boat that left Ebute Ero in Lagos Island for Majidun, Ikorodu.
The exact number of passengers on board is yet to be ascertained, according to NEMA.
Wednesday’s accident occurred three weeks after a boat conveying about 24 passengers capsized in Festac Town, Lagos, killing 13, most of them hurrying to watch a European Champions League game.
Also, about a month ago, another boat capsized at Ogogoro village in Navy Town, Apapa, killing about 10 persons, including a mother and her child.
